Lapis Road Homeowners Association

We, most likely are your neighbors, or the store owner who always said “Have a good day.” We are the young college students of the future with dreams of becoming.. doctors, lawyers, teachers and of having a family.

We are the workers of the past who have worked ourselves to where we can't work any longer.. now on disability. We are the soldiers who fought for this country to be a free country. We have envisioned our country as a unified front which supports justice and equal rights for all.

On August 27, 2017, the Lapis Road Homeowners Association passed the following resolution:

The Lapis Road Homeowners Association is working hard to comply with all County health & safety regulations, but find the 10AM – 6PM “move-along” to be prohibitively expensive, time-consuming, and extremely stressful to the residents. Furthermore, there is no reasonable place where we can park without being ticketed. We implore the County's dropping of this requirement.

We are asking for public support for what we feel is fair. The Supervisors are being vague on the purpose of the 10am to 6pm “move-along” requirement other then to cause us stress, taking a toll on our health on many levels and agitating the public against us for driving in town aimlessly. Also, many of us have mobile homes with mechanical problems, made worse from all the driving. Moving around is not our idea of how to spend everyday, all day. A lot of us have jobs, some go to college and some are not able to muster the gumption to drive on most roads at all.

What is the purpose of an RV ban anyway? What health or safety problem does it alleviate? Not only that, but the residents of Lapis Road were not given any kind of voice in implementing this new “County rule” only on this one road where they happen to be living.
